Lucinda A. Lee

Lucinda A. Lee of Liberty, NY, a retired Social Work Case Manager for New York State and longtime area resident died Saturday, August 10, 2024, at her home. She was 75.

The daughter of the late Thomas H. Lee and Virginia Bradwick Lee, she was born July 26, 1949, in Syracuse, NY.

Lucinda’s life’s work was dedicated to helping others through her career and the community. Lucinda was a Girl Scout leader for many years. She was a Science fiction enthusiast and enjoyed attending conventions. Lucinda loved cats and had been involved with the Cat Fanciers’ Association. She was an avid reader who also loved to write. She enjoyed art, crafting, traveling, and listening to music, especially The Beatles. She also enjoyed shopping and spending time with friends and family.

She leaves behind her daughter, Rebekah Gulley and her husband Sean of Liberty, NY, three granddaughters, Kaelyn, Adele, and Fiona, a brother Brian Lee and his wife Leta of Farmington, NM, brother Casey Lee and his wife Karen of Wallkill, NY, and sister Jennifer Budd and her husband Dennis of Citrus Springs, FL– as well as several extended family members. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward C. Cahill in 2015.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 2-4 PM in the Harris Funeral Home West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral services will be Saturday, August 17, 2024, at 4 PM in the funeral home—the Rev. Joseph LeConey will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Lucinda’s name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Glaucoma Research Foundation.

Dignified cremation will be provided by Harris Crematorium, LLC.

Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery Cold Spring Road, Liberty, NY.
