Marcus O'Dell

Marcus G. O'Dell of Roscoe, NY, a retired Postmaster for the United States Postal Service, Livingston Manor, NY, and a lifelong area resident, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at UHS Wilson Memorial Hospital, Johnson City, NY. He was 72.

The son of the late Ralph Marcus and Mildred Eck O'Dell, he was born October 31, 1941 in Corbett, NY.

Marcus is a member and president of the Roscoe-Rockland Senior Citizens Club; a former member and past president of the Roscoe Fire Department Station # 29; and a former bluestone cutter and quarryman.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Heberling O'Dell, at home; one son, Brent O'Dell and his wife Jacqueline of Princeton, NJ; one daughter, Dawn O'Dell of Endwell, NY; one brother, Ronald O'Dell of Corbett, NY; and three grandchildren, Jessica O'Dell, Alyssa O'Dell, and Patrick Hadfield.

He was predeceased by one daughter, Jennifer O'Dell.

Memorial services will be Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 11 AM in the Roscoe Presbyterian Church, Old Rte. 17, Roscoe, NY. The Rev. Pam Allen will officiate.

Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Roscoe, NY.
