Marie Pfanstiel

Marie T. Pfanstiel of Youngsville, NY a long-time area resident, died Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at her home. She was 90.

The daughter of the late Vincenzo and Rita Marie Di Lello Angelillo, she was born September 27, 1934 in Bronx, NY.

Marie had worked as a substitute in the offices of the Jeffersonville-Youngsville Central School District; in later years, she worked for Sullivan County Department of Social Services in Liberty, NY. She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies, a member of the Livingston Manor Senior Citizens Club and a member of the Catholic Daughters. Marie enjoyed traveling with her friends and family.

Survivors include her sons, Douglas Pfanstiel and Scott Pfanstiel; two great granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Rudolph D. Pfanstiel; her granddaughter, Barbara Franklin; and her seven siblings.

A memorial service, burial in Green Hill Cemetery and celebration of life for family and friends will take place in the Spring with the date to be announced.
