Mark O'Rourke

Mark Francis O'Rourke of Monticello, NY, a retired Commercial Artist and a long time area resident

died Friday, February 24, 2017 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY. He was 93.

The son of the late Thomas and Katherine Roland O'Rourke, he was born September 21, 1923 in Brooklyn, NY.

Mark had attended Good Shepard Elementary School, St. Francis High School and Pratt University.

He proudly served Our Country in the US Army during WW II. Mark was an accomplished artist and talented in varied mediums. Throughout his life, Mark fully embraced its joys and friendships were key to him, especially his friend Bob.

Survivors include three daughters Jeanne Vega, Katherine Vetere and her husband Vincent and Grace O'Rourke;

his loving brothers, James and Patrick O'Rourke and sisters, Mary Mulea and Ronnie Phelps; beloved grandfather of Danielle, Vincent, Alexa, and Dean Vetere; John and Nicole Catanese and Crista Rose Cerilelto; great grandfather of Lucas and Penelope; Jeanie's daughter, Melissa Corigliano,

also, he enjoyed his numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his devoted wife of forty-six years, Jeanie May, four brothers, Joseph, Thomas, William and Anthony O'Rourke.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 10 - 10:45 AM in the Harris Funeral Home West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 11 AM in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church

167 North Main Street, Liberty, NY. Father William Scifidi will officiate.

Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
