Martha Forrester

Martha M. Forrester of Hancock, NY a homemaker and a lifelong area resident died Saturday December 30, 2023 at her home. She was 86.

The daughter of the late Albert and Ruby Webster Rausch, she was born June 5, 1937 in Fishs Eddy, NY.

Martha enjoyed putting puzzles together and playing her flute. Her favorite time was spent with family.

Survivors include three daughters, Christine Casta and her husband Brian of Hancock, NY, Rebecca Forrester of Hancock, NY and Rachel Forrester of South Carolina; her grandchildren, Robert Casta and his wife Shannon, Michael Casta and his wife Alicia, Adam Forrester and his wife Michelle, David Shaffer and Zach Geer; two great grandchildren, Elliana and Wyatt; her siblings, Ruth Kellie, Sarah Wormuth and her husband Charles, Leah Rausch, David Rausch and his wife Sharon, Miriam Page and her husband Ed and Randy Meeker.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Raymond Forrester; one brother, Paul Rausch; and one sister, Mary Haynes.

At this time, Martha’s family has chosen to celebrate her life privately. Dignified cremation has been provided by Harris Crematorium, LLC.
