Mary Bouw

Mary E. Bouw of Downsville, NY, a retired care giver for the State of New York in Albany, NY, and a lifelong area resident, died Sunday, February 8, 2015 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY. She was 91.

The daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Burns Rutherford, she was born November 27, 1923 in the Town of Colchester, NY.

Mary enjoyed quilting and tending to her flower gardens; she also taught many people how to drive.

Survivors include three sisters-in-law, Wilhelmina Bogart of Hamden, NY; Joyce Bouw of Walton, NY; and Margie Salisbury of East Amherst, NY; and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband, John Bouw; one brother, Douglas Rutherford and his wife Shirley; and one sister, Evelyn Best.

Memorial services will be Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11 AM in the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, Main Street, Downsville, NY. Pastor Lowell will officiate.

Burial will be Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 12 Noon in the Paige Cemetery, Downsville, NY.
