Mary Husson

Mary E. Husson of Roscoe, NY, a retired employee for the New York State Department of Labor passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Central Island Healthcare, Plainview, NY. She was 91.

The daughter of the late Charles and Mary Merritt, she was born June 27, 1923 in Brooklyn, NY.

Mary was married to Charles L. Husson in 1945. Their family had moved to Roscoe, NY in 1957. She was predeceased by Charles on April 10, 1991; they had been married for 46 years. Mary will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother with a big heart and warm smile for all, by all her family and friends.

Mary had been a member of the Republican Party of Sullivan County; she was a singer in the Bell Tones, Roscoe, NY; and had been a communicant of the Gate of Heaven Church, Roscoe, NY.

Survivors include her sons, Charles L. Husson, III and his wife Anna May of Roscoe, NY, and Gerard P. Husson and his wife Johna of Martinsburg, WV; one daughter, Patricia Costa and her husband Ken of Huntington, L.I., NY; 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, October 10, 2014 from 7-9 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 10 AM in the funeral home. The Rev. Joanne Utley will officiate.

Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Roscoe, NY.

Memorial contributions in Mary's name may be made to a charity of one's choice.
