Mary Kathryn Gaudette

Mary Kathryn Gaudette of Parksville, NY died at home on August 11, 2024. She was 88. The daughter of the late William A. and Mary Alice (Kelly) Frazer, she was born May 12, 1936 in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Kathryn attended Krissler Business Institute and worked for Central Hudson Gas and Electric Co. in Poughkeepsie. It was there that she met her husband of 67 years. Kathryn and William raised their family in Newburgh, NY. They moved to Parksville upon retirement. Kathryn was a communicant of St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church; she was a member of the Tri-Valley Lion’s Club and the Liberty Belles. Kathryn enjoyed spending time outdoors with her husband and their dogs. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and visiting with friends and family. Kathryn will be remembered by her family as the most loving, patient and kind person. She was especially adored by her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband O. William (Bill) Gaudette, at home; one son, William and his wife Betty of New Paltz, NY; two daughters, Mary Groves and her husband Bryan of Sumter, SC and Joanne Cafarelli and her husband Richard of Cranston, RI; eight grandchildren, Will Gaudette, Kate Gaudette (Luc Achard), Thomas Groves (Catalina), Megan Groves (Hector Jardon), Bill Groves, Dan Groves, Martin Cafarelli, and Maeve Cafarelli. In addition, she is survived by eight great grandchildren.

The Gaudette Family is grateful to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties for their exceptional care. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to this organization.
