Mary Kunzweiler

Mary Regina Kunzweiler of Liberty, NY, a retired Paralegal for Myron M. Friedman Law Office died Friday, October 28, 2016 at her home. She was 77.

The daughter of the late John J. and Veronica Gallagher Kunzweiler, she was born September 8, 1939 in Glendale, NY.

Mary's family moved to Liberty in 1953; she was a graduate of Liberty High School and obtained a Paralegal Certificate from Sullivan County Community College. She served as secretary for the Citizens for Kennedy and was invited to and attended President John F. Kennedy's Inauguration. Mary was a communicant of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church; she was on the parish council and was a former lector and Eucharistic Minister for St. Peter's Church.

Survivors include two brothers, John P. Kunzweiler and his wife Ann of Rockaway, NJ and George M. Kunzweiler and his wife Grace of Parsippany, NJ; several nieces and nephews including, Jo Ann Kunzweiler-Simon and her husband Casey, Stephen J. Kunzweiler and his wife Jane, Lisa Hart and her husband Brian, Laura Howe and her husband Robert, Patrice Flatau and her husband Carl, Linda Tully and her husband Michael; Diane Gonzales and her husband Tony, George Kunzweiler and his wife Linda, and Robert Kunzweiler and his wife Laura, and special cousins including, Ann Stephenson and her husband Paul and Lee Botsford and her husband Lloyd; one sister in law, Helen Kunzweiler of Carslile, PA and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and great nieces and nephews; and her cat companion, Whitey.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 4-8 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at 11 AM in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 264 North Main Street, Liberty, NY. Monsignor Edwards Straub and Father Dermot R. Brenner will concelebrate.

Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Cold Spring Road, Liberty, NY.
