Maryann Szabo

MaryAnn T. Szabo of Lake Huntington, NY, a retired Cafeteria Worker for the Jeffersonville Central School and a lifelong area resident died Thursday, March 30, 2023 the Garnet Health Hospital, Harris, NY.  She was 86.

The daughter of the late Frederick and Natalie “Lillian” DeSantis Gasko, she was born September 12, 1936 in Monticello, NY.

MaryAnn was a Communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church in Narrowsburg, NY where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters; she was a member of the Women’s Community Club of Cochecton; and a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Lake Huntington Fire Company and the Cochecton Volunteer Ambulance Corp.

Survivors include her daughter, Ann Marie Nober and her husband Jay of Lake Huntington, NY; her son, Frank Szabo of Charlotte, NC; her brother, Fred Gasko and his wife MaryAnn of Canton, GA; five grandchildren, David Nober, Kathleen Nober, Hayley Szabo, Max Szabo, and KenndyKate Szabo; two great grandchildren, Kassie Nober and Rylee Nober; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 12-2 PM in the Harris Funeral Home West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at 2 PM in the funeral home.  Father Antony David will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Narrowsburg, NY.
