Michael Burger

Michael J. Burger of Fallsburg, NY, died Monday, June 17, 2013 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY. He was 48.

The son of the late Ralph and Steffie Mierzwenski Burger, he was born March 25, 1965 in South Fallsburg, NY.

Michael was a member of the Hurleyville Fire Company Fire Police, the Sullivan County Fire Police Association, and the Sullivan County Wildlife Search & Rescue Team; he was an animal lover, and he enjoyed his three cats.

Survivors include six sisters, Lillian Vandermark of Harris, NY, Joyce Rhoades of Hamilton, NY, Linda Burger of South Fallsburg, NY, Virginia Burger and her companion Butch Watson of Fallsburg, NY, Rosemarie Froehlich and her husband Fred of Hurleyville, NY, and Cindy Burger of Fallsburg, NY; one brother, Ralph Burger and his wife Debbie of Hurleyville, NY; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by one brother, Roy Burger.

The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at the Catskill Regional Medical Center Emergency Room for the care they provided to Michael.

Visitation will be Monday, June 24, 2013 from 5-7:30 PM in the Harris Funeral Home West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

The Hurleyville Fire Company will conduct Firematic Services at 7:30 PM, the Funeral Services will follow. Pastor James Kaufman will officiate.
