Michael Comfort

Michael Allen Comfort, Sr. of Liberty, NY, a bus driver for Rolling V Bus Corporation, Fallsburg, NY, and a lifelong area resident, died Sunday, December 25, 2011. He was 41.

The son of Richard W. Comfort and the late Patricia A. Krom Comfort, he was born October 6, 1970 in Ellenville, NY.

Survivors include his father, Richard W. Comfort and his wife Leanne of Roscoe, NY; one son, Michael A. Comfort, Jr. of Loch Sheldrake, NY; and two daughters, Megan Comfort of Loch Sheldrake, NY, and MaKenna Davis of Middletown, NY; one brother, Richard P. Comfort of Huntington Beach, CA; one sister, Christina M. Jones and her husband Ken of Durham, NC; his grandmother, Mae Comfort of Napanoch, NY; his nieces and nephews, Ryan, Jason, and Daniel Penfield of Durham, NC, Amanda Whipple of Liberty, NY, and Kennedy Linson of Huntington Beach, CA; his aunts and uncles, Floyd Sonny Krom, Peter Krom, Paul Krom, Colleen St. John, and Sharen Krom; and several cousins.

He was predeceased by his mother, Patricia A. Krom Comfort; his grandfathers, Richard J. Comfort and Floyd Krom; his grandmothers, Doris Krom and Helen Sheeley; one uncle, Allen Krom; and one aunt, Donna Davis.

Visitation will be Friday, December 30, 2011 from 11 AM - 1 PM in the Harris Funeral Home West St. at Buckley Liberty, NY.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 30, 2011 at 1 PM in the funeral home. Pastor David Collins will officiate.
