Mikki Chapman

Mikki Chapman of Callicoon Center, NY, died Sunday, July 23, 2023 at her home.  She was 70.

The daughter of the late James Herbert and Margarett Bollman Chapman, she was born July 22, 1953, in Staten Island, NY.

Mikki enjoyed life as a homemaker and loved to hunt and ride her motorcycle. 

Survivors include her wife Debra Dodge-Chapman of 35 years; family members and friends who loved her dearly; and her furry family including a cat, Jethro, who never left her side, a dog Angie, a fat cat aka Harley, and a bird Floyd.

Funeral services will be private.

We walked on the beach I shared my life, my pain, my soul with you.

We ran off together against all odds with no one’s approval. We stood by each other through the worst of times.  We were together 24/7 for the first 8 years then we struggled for 6 years as I commuted to work to build our future.  For the next 21 years we came back together as one.  The hardest challenge was 5 years ago when you got sick, through the ups and downs I said goodbye too many times, living with the pain of watching you drift away piece by piece.  Today I say my final farewell, not goodbye, for one day I will join you, the whole you that remains in my heart forever.  For now, just stay by my side without pain and suffering.  Join the ones we love and have loved us, they will be your guide.  I will always love you if not in the flesh then in the spirit you have now transcended to.  My love, my heart, my soulmate!
