Mildred Maus of Roscoe, NY, a homemaker and a lifelong area resident, died after a short illness on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at the Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City, NY. She was 86.
The daughter of the late John and Katherine Soules, she was born September 23, 1924 in Horton, NY.
Survivors include her two daughters, Linda Buck and her companion William Revicki of Roscoe, NY, and Betty Dole of Parksville, NY; one son, Roy Maus of Roscoe; four grandchildren, Lisa Dole, James Dole and his wife Amanda, William Maus and his wife Noel, and Dusty Maus; ten great grandchildren, Stephanie, Robert, Kyle, Kadance, Clarissa, Samantha, Alexander, Bridgette, Mathew, and Colin; and one great great grandchild, on the way that will be named Hailey Mildred Vogel.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Maus in 2001.
In a family statement it was said, "May all that had known her, know that she was an inspiration of kindness."
Visitation will be Saturday August 20, 2011 from 2-4PM and 7-9PM in the Harris Funeral Home Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.
Funeral services will be Sunday August 21, 2011 at 2PM in the funeral home. The Rev. David Collins will officiate.
Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery in Roscoe, NY.
Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Sullivan County SPCA, 25 Rock Hill Road, Rockhill, NY 12775.
