Ollen Eck of Livingston Manor, NY, a retired member of Local #147 Tunnel Workers and a life long area resident died Saturday, February 14, 2015 at his home. He was 87.
The son of the late Ralph and Elsie Donovan Eck, he was born May 4, 1927 in Horton, NY.
Ollen proudly served Our Country during World War II in the US Navy Seabees in the Pacific Theater. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was affectionately known as "Pop" and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include one son, Ollen Eck, Jr. and his wife Marie; two daughters, Rose McGreevy and her husband Frank and Jennifer Eck and her companion Russell; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Jennie McKune Eck, one daughter, Dolly Lewis and his brothers, Leo, Fred, Loren, Paul, and Eugene, also one sister Mildred.
Graveside services and burial will be in the Orchard Street Cemetery, Livingston Manor, NY, in the spring.
