Patricia Dunne

Patricia Mary Dunne of Youngsville, New York, a retired teacher and a long time area resident, died Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Achieve Rehab. and Nursing Facility, Liberty, New York. She was 78.

The daughter of the late James F. Dunne and Mary "Haupert" Dunne, she was born on October 2, 1944 in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York.

Patricia was a wonderful sister, a loving aunt, a caring friend and an "awesome " teacher. She truly enjoyed teaching and sharing her passion for American History.

She had a love for movies, especially all the "oldies" and musicals. She was deeply creative which was seen in her daily journaling and art. She was an avid reader and always had a famous quote or historical fact to share.  Patricia enjoyed traveling: her favorite trips being to Africa and Russia.  She enjoyed bringing back keepsakes such as magnets to add to her extensive collection and elephant figurines.  Her sense of humor was contagious and we will miss hearing her many jokes.  She brought joy into the lives of others around her and will be deeply missed.

Survivors include her siblings, Mary K. Jungblut (Denis), James J. Dunne, Joan F. Forgione and her nieces and great nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother-in-law, Patrick Forgione

A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Catholic Church in Youngsville, NY on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 12:00 P.M.  Father Roland Antony Raj will officiate.
