Paul F. Cox, Sr. of Roscoe, NY, a logger and a lifelong area resident passed away Friday, April 4, 2014 at his home with his family by his side. He was 76.
The son of the late Bert W. and Gertrude Bowers Cox, he was born April 28, 1937 in Roscoe, NY.
Paul had many interests including logging, hunting, and fixing anything and everything; he loved to tell stories and he loved his family and friends; he will greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Betty R. Ellis Cox, at home; his daughter, Wendy and her companion Jack; his son, Paul Cox, Jr. and his wife Leslie of Roscoe, NY; two grandchildren, Ashley and Zaylee, whom he loved very much; his sister, Edna Crawson; many brothers and sisters in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Bert Cox and Lester Quick; and one brother-in-law, Malcolm Crawson, Sr.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 7-9 PM in the Harris Funeral Home Railroad Ave., Roscoe, NY.
Graveside services and burial will be Monday, April 7, 2014 at 10 AM in the Riverview Cemetery, Roscoe, NY and a reception will follow at the Roscoe Community Center, Roscoe, NY.
