Paul B. Kellam of Fremont, NY a lifelong area resident, died Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Garnet Health Medical Center, Middletown, NY. He was 83.
The son of the late Harold B. and Eleanor E. Ebert Kellam, he was born July 3, 1941 in Callicoon, NY.
Paul took over his Father’s Texaco Gas Station and Repair Shop in The Town of Fremont; he worked as a carpenter by trade and drove School Bus. He was elected the Town Clerk for the Town of Fremont and served many years; he also was a Councilman on the Town of Fremont Board. Paul was a life member of the NRA; he enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking (Looking for a cookbook? Let us know!).
Survivors include his brother Harold Kellam and his wife Pat of Liberty, NY; his nieces and nephews, Mark Kellam (Stefanie), Brian Kellam (Kim), Joy Crist (Jeff), Roderick Dressel, Jr (Deb), Dan Wilcox, Earl Wilcox (Karen)John Wilcox (Lynne) and Jim Wilcox; one brother-in-law, Roderick Dressel, Sr.; and many great nieces, great nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Ethel Kellam Dressel and Eleanor “Dolly” Kellam Wilcox; and one nephew, David Dressel.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 5 to 7PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY. Funeral services will begin at 7PM in the funeral home.
