Peter Lotz

Peter Lotz of Livingston Manor, NY, age 89, died at home December 31, 2015 with his family all around. He was born September 23, 1926 in Yugoslavia to parents Peter and Elisabeth Lotz. He grew up, was educated and trained in the auto and engineering business in Yugoslavia. He immigrated with his family to the United States in 1956. He was the widower of Katharina Lotz, the mother of his children. She died in 1978.

He leaves behind his wife of 33 years, Enid Webster Lotz, at home; his daughter, Anna McCune and her husband Robert of Secane, PA; his sons, Georg Lotz of Livingston Manor, NY, Stefan Lotz and his wife Leslie of Leland, NC, and Walter Lotz of Polkton, NC; his sister, Elisabeth Fleisher and her husband Jakob of College Point, NY; his brother, Philipp Lotz of Worms, Germany; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by one daughter-in-law, Elaine Lotz.

He was an amazing mechanic and well-known in Corona, Queens where he owned his first garage; and in Livingston Manor, Roscoe, and Beaverkill Valley where he owned and operated the Deckertown Garage. He had a wonderful reputation for his extraordinary abilities. He will be missed by everyone.

Peter was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great grandfather and friend - Sleep now without pain, in peace.

Visitation will be Monday, January 4, 2016 from 11AM to 1 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.

Funeral services will be Monday, January 4, 2016 at 1 PM in the funeral home. Father Edward Bader will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Livingston Manor, NY.
