Philip E. Mullen of Liberty, NY, a retired building inspector for the Town of Liberty and the owner of AM-PM Investigating Services, died Friday, February 27, 2015 at St. Anthony's Hospital, Warwick, NY. He was 85.
The son of the late Philip and Margaret Fletcher Mullen, he was born December 19, 1929 in Liberty, NY
Philip proudly served Our County in the US Navy; he was a member of the Liberty Hose and Truck Company #2, the Liberty Elks Lodge # 1545 and many other civic organizations.
Survivors include his wife of over 60 years, Elizabeth A. McSherry Mullen, at home; one son, Kevin Mullen and his wife Linda of Liberty, NY; three daughters, Lisa Atkins and her husband Alfred of Warwick, NY, Kim Mullen and her companion Spirit of Lava, NY; and Sally Alvarez of Pembroke Pines FL; six grandchildren, Teik, Evan, Sol Andrew, Matthew, Laine, and Devin; four great grandchildren, Maizy Reign, Liahna, Mila, and Lincoln; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and William; and one sister, Patricia.
Visitation will be Monday, March 2, 2015 from 3-7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 10 AM in the funeral home. Monsignor Edward Straub will officiate.
Burial with military honors will be in the Sullivan County Veteran's Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Church - Restoration Fund, 264 No. Main Street, Liberty, NY.
