Phyllis Ross

Phyllis V. Huggler Ross of Liberty, NY, a lifelong area resident died Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at the Albany Medical Center, Albany, NY. She was 78.

The daughter of the late Howard William and Edna Mae Lash Abplanalp, she was born March 5, 1938 in White Sulphur Springs, NY.

Phyllis had attended the Grace Church of Callicoon and had been employed as a retail clerk in various businesses in Liberty and Jeffersonville, NY.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna Grimm and her husband Harry of Swan Lake, NY and Linda Baer and her husband William of Jeffersonville, NY; two sisters, Dorothy Davison of Liberty, NY and Delores Carney and her husband Barry of Bradenton, FL; seven grandchildren; and several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Leonard Huggler; her second husband, Robert Ross; and by a brother, Leonard Abplanalp.

Visitation will be Friday, October 28, 2016 from 4-7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 10 AM in the funeral home. The Rev. Douglas Lee will officiate.
