Ralph Delamater

Ralph E. Delamater of Liberty, NY, a long time area resident, died Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Castle Point Veteran's Hospital. He was 71.

The son of the late Isaac H. and Josephine C. Miller Delamater, he was born September 11, 1943 in Bridgeport, CT.

Ralph proudly served our Country in the US Navy from 1960 to 1966; he was a member of the Clarence Hoyt VFW Post # 9217; a member of the Liberty Elks Lodge # 1545; and a member of the Disabled American Veteran's; he was an avid hunter and fisherman; he enjoyed camping; and he was a fan of the New York Yankees.

Survivors include one sister, Mary Deretchin of Hillsborough, NJ; one brother, Bill Delamater and his wife Eva of Dewey, AZ; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by one sister, Violet Somers; and one nephew, Dan Somers.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 10 AM to 12 Noon in the Harris Funeral Home West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral services will be Thursday, September 10, 2015 at 12 Noon in the funeral home. The Rev. Johanna Andritz will officiate.

Burial will be in the Sullivan County Veteran's Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
