Randy Foley

Randy L. Foley, 62, of North Lawrence, NY, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 20, 2019. The son of the late Philip and Nellie Reedle Foley, he was born April 27, 1957 in Massena, NY.

Randy graduated from Salmon Central School in 1975 and went on to attend Canton ATC. He worked for various construction companies in the area until he acquired a position with Plattsburgh State. Randy later transferred into NYS Department of Corrections from which he retired as a Plant Utility Engineer in 2011. On September 4, 2010 Randy wed his old high school girlfriend, JoAnne Warner in a small country ceremony.

Randy enjoyed working on and refurbishing old Chevy trucks and antique tractors. You always heard him say “if someone doesn’t save them, they will all be gone and so will our history”. Randy loved to pull his two antique tractors and along beside him you would find his pit crew, Dustin, Preston, and Mason Barse. He loved driving his 1973 Chevy Junkyard Edition Rat Rod that he took great pride in restoring himself. His pastimes included playing Wednesday night Jeopardy with his close friend David Beekman, anything to do with history, reading, and assisting his wife in cutting and sawing her many craft projects. Randy belonged to the River Valley Antique Tractor and Engine Club, The St. Lawrence Power and Equipment Museum, the NRA. He was also a longtime friend of Bill W.

Surviving are his wife Jo Anne Warner Foley, two brothers and sisters-in-law Terry (Debbie) Foley of Winder, GA; Larry (Tina) Foley of North Lawrence, NY; two sisters and a brother-in-law Cheryl Foley of Moores, NY; Charlene (Jerry) Deno of Canton, NY; mother-in-law – Nancy Warner of Moira, NY; sister-in-law and companion Mary Bilow and Jeff Dana of Moira, NY; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Peter Jr. And Dawn Warner of Moira, NY; and nieces and nephews – Carrie Dickerson, Amanda, Jake, Devon, Tyler, Kyle, Meredith and Camryn Foley; McKenzie Deno; Amanda Barse; Cody and Jesse Bilow; and Kaitlynne Warner and many grand nephews and nieces. Besides his parents Randy was predeceased by his brother, Steven Foley; nephews Patrick Foley and Dylan Bilow; sister-in-law Kim Warner and father-in-law Peter Warner, Sr.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 25, 2019 from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Hammill Funeral Home, 653 State Highway 11C, Winthrop, NY.

Graveside services and burial will be held Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at 11AM at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Gale Road, Brushton, NY.

Memorial contributions in Randy’s name may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
