Rita F. Maus of Youngsville, NY, a home maker and lifelong area resident died Monday, April 4, 2016 at the Achieve Rehab and Nursing Facility in Liberty, NY. She was 91.
The daughter of the late Harrison and Cecelia Keesler Marks, she was born February 13, 1925 in Roscoe, NY.
Rita had been a volunteer at the Monticello Soup Kitchen for several years. She enjoyed gardening and playing cards with her family and friends.
Survivors include four sons, Carlton Maus and his wife Kathy of Jeffersonville, NY, David Maus and his companion Diane Keifer of Jeffersonville, NY, Thomas Maus of Youngsville, NY and Richard Maus of Jeffersonville, NY; two sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Burns of Georgia and Freda Pericho of Jeffersonville, NY; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Edwin Maus in 1986 and by five brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 2-4 PM in the Harris Funeral Home Railroad Ave., Roscoe, NY.
Graveside services and burial will be at a later date.
