Robert G. Dailey

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” George Dailey of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Beach Lake, PA, a retired Carpenter for Villa Roma, who died Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Garnet Health Medical Center, Callicoon, NY. He was 77.

The son of Ruth B. Hust Dailey and the late George Dailey, he was born April 1, 1947 in Callicoon, NY.

Bob was originally from Cochecton, NY, relocated to Beach Lake, PA, and then to the Myrtle Beach, SC area in 2014. Bob lived a full and happy life devoted to his family and friends. His happiest moments involved combing the beach for shark teeth, collecting quarters, spending time with family, helping his grandsons learn new things, and taking care of those around him. Bob gave unconditionally to anyone who was in need. He was always willing to lend a hand and never expected anything in return. Bob was a blessing to his family and everyone who knew him; a kind, generous, loyal, and welcoming man; a fabulous father and role model. Robert touched the soul of every person he ever met.

Survivors include his mother, Ruth; his daughter, Rachel Riedel and her husband Adam of Myrtle Beach, SC; his son, Ryan Dailey of Beach Lake, PA; two grandsons, Solomon and Micah; two sisters, Sally Darling and her husband Glenn of Cochecton, NY and Donna Ackermann and her husband William of Cochecton, NY; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his loving wife Beverly Dailey, his father, George Dailey, his brother Lester P. Dailey, his sister Christine Dailey, and his brother-in-law Douglas Ackermann.

Funeral services will be private.
