Robert D. Loucks, Sr. of Livingston Manor, NY, a retired truck driver and a lifelong area resident, died Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY. He was 68.
The son of the late Jerry T. and Shirley Hodge Loucks, he was born January 9, 1944 in Roscoe, NY.
Bob had been an owner-operator of Loucks Trucking and in later years had works for Johnston & Rhodes Bluestone Co.; he was a member of the United Church of Roscoe and was a member of the church choir.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Huck Loucks, at home; two sons, Robert Loucks, Jr. and his companion Trisha Brown of Fishes Eddy, NY, and Joshua Loucks and his companion Melissa Shager of Lakewood, PA; a step daughter, Jennifer Green and her husband Faz Farrohi of Port Richey, FL; a step son, Jerry Green of Wewahitchka, FL; one brother, Donald Loucks and his wife Sue of TN; two sisters, Charlotte Warfield and her husband Merle of Rimrock, AZ, and Darlene Fenescey and her companion Tim Leto of Washington State; a special aunt, Emily Hodge of Livingston Manor, NY; seven grandchildren, Rebecca, Jordan, Alyssa, Jared, Tyler, Geoffrey, and Connor; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Robin Jackson and by three brothers, Tom, Stan, and Daniel.
Visitation will be Friday, November 23, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Harris Funeral Home Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 24, 2012 at 11 AM in the United Church of Roscoe, Church Street, Roscoe, NY. The Rev. David Collins will officiate.
