Robert Ludwig

Robert N. Ludwig of Parksville, NY, a long time area resident, died Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the Achieve Rehab. & Nursing Facility, Liberty, NY. He was 83. The son of the late Alexander and Elva Blanchard Ludwig, he was born February 14, 1931 in Oneonta, NY.

Robert retired from Sullivan County BOCES as the Director of Occupational Education in 1984. He enjoyed hunting, boating, and restoring old cars and trucks; he was a member of the Methol Hunting Club; a member of the Orange County Antique Auto Club; a member of the Newburgh Yacht Club; and a member of the Liberty Lion's Club; Robert loved going to all of his grandchildren's athletic games.

Survivors include his wife, Gail M. Beck Ludwig at home; one daughter, Linda Campbell and her husband, Edwin of Grahamsville, NY; one granddaughter, Tricia Lyn Corigliano and her fiance, Daniel Siciliano of Long Island; two grandsons, Nicholas Corigliano and Connor Campbell, both of Grahamsville, NY; one sister, Ann Kurtz of Camillus, NY; one brother-in-law, Walter Slade of Galway, NY; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Sazoff and her husband, Irving of Liberty, NY, and Cindy DeLuca and her husband, Guy of Edgewater, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

Robert was predeceased by one son, James A. Ludwig; one brother, James Ludwig; and one sister, Claire Slade.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 17, 2014 from 12 noon to 1 pm in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 1 pm in the funeral home. The Rev. Johanna Andritz will officiate.

Burial will be in the Grahamsville Rural Cemetery, Grahamsville, NY.

Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the charity of one's choice.
