Robert Praschil, Jr

Robert R. Praschil, Jr. of Downsville, NY, a retired Executive Vice President and CPA for Hoffman La Roche in New Jersey died Thursday May 4, 2017 at his home.

The son of the late Robert Rudolph, Sr. and Katherine Elspeth Silveria Praschil, he was born January 3, 1946 in Hackensack, NJ.

Robert proudly served Our Country on active duty in the US Navy from 1964 to 1968. He was a member of the Glenwood Rod and Gun Club in Lookout, PA, and an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He enjoyed four wheeling and snowmobiling, and the many family/friend get togethers that earned him the title "Baxter Mountain Bob" and President of the Baxter Mountain, HOA.

Survivors include the love of his life, Amy L. Brown; their children Alyssa Loucks and her fiancAC. David, and Tyler Loucks all of East Branch, NY; his brother, Roy E. Praschil and wife Mary; beloved nieces Lisa and Tami; his brother-in-law, Yancey Brown and wife Sandy; and nieces Bethany, Emily, and McKenzy; one nephew, Riley; three great nieces, Katelyn, Emily and Holli; and a multitude of friends.

Visitation will be Monday, May 8, 2017 from 11AM to 2 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.

Funeral services with military honors will be Monday, May 8, 2017 at 2 PM in the funeral home.  Pastor Yancey Brown will officiate.
