Rodney J. Morgan

Rodney J. Morgan of Horton Brook, Roscoe, NY a retired Heavy Equipment Operator for the Town of Colchester and a lifelong area resident, died Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at his home.  He was 75.

The son of the late William and Vesta Rood Morgan, he was born August 15, 1947 in Roscoe, NY.

Rodney retired from the Town of Colchester after 25 years of service.  He is a Past Chief of the Cooks Falls-Horton Fire Department and a Past Commissioner for the Cooks Falls-Horton Fire District.

Survivors include his devoted wife of 47 years, Sharon S. Simon Morgan, at home; one son, James Morgan of Downsville, NY; one daughter, Kim Morgan of Horton, NY; one sister, Bev VanValkenburg of Horton, NY; one brother-in-law, Ed Simon and his wife Judy of Bloomingburg, NY; one grandson, the Light of His Life, Connor; and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by two daughters, Christine and Beverlee.

Graveside services and burial will be private in the Horton Cemetery, Horton, NY.
