Royal Porter

Royal V. Porter of Liberty, NY, a retired mechanic and a lifelong area resident, died Monday, April 27, 2015 at his home with his family at his side. He was 73.

The son of the late Royal V. Sr. and Lillian E. Whipple Porter, he was born February 26, 1942 in Liberty, NY.

Survivors include his wife, Leah M. "Margie" Kelly Porter, at home; two sons, Vincent Porter and his wife Leslie of Liberty, NY and Gary Gamble of Liberty, NY; one daughter, Melissa Ryerson of Liberty, NY; one sister, Lillian Bibble and her husband Dave; three brothers, Robert Porter and his wife Valiery of Loch Sheldrake, NY, Johnny Porter of OK, and David Porter and his wife Roje of Loch Sheldrake, NY; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by one brother, Thomas Porter.

Funeral services will be private.
