Salvatore "Tony" DiLorenzo of Liberty, NY, a sales agent for the Barbanti Group in Liberty, NY and a longtime area resident died Monday, March 16, 2015 at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City with his family at his side. He was 88.

The son of the late Anthony B. and Loretta T. Naish DiLorenzo he was born January 1, 1927 in New York City, NY.

Tony was a Communicant of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Liberty, NY; a member and past commander of the Corp. Russell D. Sprague American Legion Post # 109 - Liberty, NY; a member and past president of the Livingston Manor Rotary Club; a member of the Any Make-Any Model Car Club of Sullivan County; a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elk's - Liberty Lodge # 1545; a member of the Liberty Chamber of Commerce; a member of the Liberty Museum Association and a member of the Founding Board of Trustee's of the Catskill Regional Medical Center.

Tony had a passion for history, cars, motorcycles and anything on wheels. He was a man of strong opinions who was always looking forward and was always invigorated at the prospect of a good debate. His three daughters were the light of his life.

Survivors include his three daughters, Linda Devery and her husband William of Parksville, NY, Deborah Portzline and her husband Foster of Pine Bush, NY and Katie Kuederle and her husband Bob of Sunbury, OH; five grandchildren, Tara Knack-Moreno, Alan Knack, F. Gideon Portzline, Emily and Ryan Kuederle; and six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, March 20, 2015 from 4-8 PM and Saturday morning from 10-11 AM at the Harris Funeral Home West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY. The Any Make-Any Model Car Club will gather to pay their respects Friday evening at 7:45 PM; the Liberty Elk's Lodge # 1545 will conduct services at 8 PM; and the American Legion Post # 109 will conduct services at 8:15 PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 11:45 AM in St. Peter's Catholic Church 264 No. Main Street, Liberty, NY. Monsignor Edward Straub will officiate.

Burial with military honors will be in the St. Peter's Cemetery Cold Spring Road, Liberty, NY.

Memorial contributions in Tony's name may be made to the American Legion Post # 109 P. O. Box 324, Parksville, NY 12768 or to the American Heart Assoc., P. O. Box 628, Monticello, NY 12701.
