Sandra Cassevah

Sandra "Sandy" Lee Cowles Cassevah of Roscoe, NY, co-owner of Garry's Great American, Liberty, NY, and a lifelong area resident, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. She was 72.

The daughter of the late Carl H. Cowles and Violet "Janice" Cowles Adsit, she was born February 24, 1942 in Norwich, NY.

Sandy was a 30 year member of the Roscoe-Rockland Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary; she was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Sidney, NY Chapter; an avid bowler and golfer. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.

Survivors include her husband Garrison L. Cassevah, at home; six children, Lori Reynolds and her husband Mike of Norwich, NY, Brenda Lake and her husband Mark of Roscoe, NY, Lance Brookins and his wife Kathy of Roscoe, NY, Sherri Clark and her husband Tim of Roscoe, NY, Allyson Brookins and her fiancAC. Keith Smith of Livingston Manor, NY, and Billy Wightman and his wife Diane of Clinton, NY; 13 grandchildren, Christopher, Joanna, Lance, Tyler, Heather, Britni, David, Adam, Cassidy, Chandler, Sierra, Alec, and Brennen; five great grandchildren, Logan, Rihley, Matthew, Aubrey and Carla; two sisters, Barbara Seiler and her husband Skip of Norwich, NY, and Kimberly Dyer and her husband Bob of Ontario, NY; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, January 16, 2015 from 4-7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 11 AM in the funeral home. The Rev. Joanne Utley will officiate.

Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery, Norwich, NY in the Spring.
