Sarah Fields

Sarah Fields, 74, a longtime area resident, departed this life on Wednesday, March 14, 2018.

Sarah was born to the late JenniMae and John Henry White in Pineland, South Carolina. She moved to Liberty NY in the early 1960’s.

Sarah worked in the Day treatment and Residential programs at Sullivan County ARC for over thirty years where she enjoyed the love, friendship and respect of her clients and coworkers. Throughout her life, Sarah utilized her unique skills with people and became someone who would inspire you and help you through difficult times and laugh with you during the good times.

She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Phyllis Manson and her husband Eric Manson of Middletown NY three sons Joseph Fields and his wife Michelle Fields of Middletown NY, Marquis Fields of Liberty NY, and John Merchant of Middletown NY, one sister Delma Laurel and her husband John Laurel of Middletown NY her beloved aunt Mamie Warren of Rochester NY and her faithful friend Rudolph Bowen of Liberty NY. , 13 grandchildren 20 great grandchildren and a whole host of treasured nieces, nephews, cousins, and devoted friends who will miss her deeply. Sarah was predeceased by her mother and father JenniMae and John Henry White two brothers John Henry Jr. and James White, two sisters Ruthann Youmans and Elouise White and one precious son Gary Tyrone Fields

A wake service will be held in her honor on Monday, March 19, 2018, from 11am to 1 pm followed by funeral services at 1pm at the Liberty Methodist Church, 170 Main Street, Liberty NY. Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
