Shannon Stein

Shannon M. Stein of Rock Hill, NY, a 34 year employee of Liberty Central School District and a lifelong area resident died Sunday, September 12, 2021 at the Garnet Health Medical Center - Catskill in Harris, NY.  She was 52.

The daughter of David Lee Cross and the late Sharon Engert Cross, she was born November 28, 1968 in Liberty, NY.

Survivors include her husband, Russell Stein, at home; four sons, Drew E. Harman and his wife Devon of Callicoon Center, NY, Tyler Stein and his wife Kat Roycroft of Loch Sheldrake, NY, Grant D. Harman of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Carter J. Harman of Liberty, NY; two daughters, Rebeccah C. Harman and her finance JT Ruhlin of Neversink, NY and Allison Stein of Wurtsboro, NY; her father, David L. Cross and his wife Barbara of Spring Hill, TN; two brothers, David H. Cross and his wife Melissa of Liberty, NY and John L. Milano and his wife Elana of Spring Hill, TN; one sister, Amy L. Conklin and her husband Jason of Baltimore, MD; three grandchildren, Ethan, Raegan and Braiden; a close and loving aunt, Nancy Gross and her husband James; and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her mother, Sharon Engert Cross.

Visitation will be Friday, September 17, 2021 from 4-7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 2 PM in the funeral home.  The Rev. Roy Shaffer will officiate.

Shannon was an active member in various volunteer organizations in the community. Shannon enjoyed mandatory family fun, snow days, flip flops, boating, showing her food, card games, being a Mom and Granny, and anything that involved family.
