Stephen Brown

Stephen R. Brown of Monticello, NY, a retired truck driver and a long time area resident, died Sunday, January 6, 2013 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY. He was 74.

The son of the late Suzanna Ince Brown, he was born June 17, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY.

Stephen proudly served Our County in the US Navy from 1955 to 1959; he was an avid chess and pool player; he loved computer games, especially Pogo; he told many jokes; and he loved to spend time and watch old movies with his grandchildren.

Survivors include sons, Lawrence and Stephen; daughters, Karen, Barbara, and Deborah; his grandchildren, James, Nicholas, Amber, and Courtney; and his best friend, Marty.

Graveside services with military honors and burial will be Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 10 AM at the Sullivan County Veteran's Cemetery.
