Steven J. Chesney

Steven J. Chesney of Liberty, NY a lifelong area resident, died Saturday, March 1, 2025. He was 35.

The son of Steven Chesney and Elizabeth Groenhoff, he was born October 4, 1989 in Harris, NY.  Steven was a graduate of Liberty Central School District; he enjoyed spending time with this friends and family, especially his son Ryker.

Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth Kleingardner and her husband Randy of Ferndale, NY; his father, Steven Chesney; one son, Ryker Chesney of Liberty, NY; his significant other, Jocelyn Rodriguez of Liberty, NY; two brothers, Brad Chesney and Evan Chesney; and one sister, Catherine Spicer and her husband Russell.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 9 to 11 AM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY. Funeral services will begin at 11 AM in the funeral home. Pastor Joseph LeConey will officiate.  Burial will be in the Laural Hill Cemetery, White Sulphur Springs, NY.
