Susan Marie Thomas

Susan Marie Thomas, a lifelong resident of Livingston Manor, NY, died Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at the Garnet Health Medical Center in Middleton, NY.  She was 66.

The daughter of the late Lester and Betty LeRoy Thomas, she was born July 18, 1957 in Livingston Manor, New York.

Susan loved to cook for her family and neighbors; she also loved Mickey Mouse.

Survivors include her daughters, Carmen Staudt and her husband Robert, Jr. of Livingston Manor, NY, Melissa Vail and her companion Robert Sisco of FL, and Eldonia Shaver of Fishs Eddy, NY; one son, Richard Vail of Ellenville; seven sisters, Carol Newman, Jenny Marshall, Betty Cunningham, Karen Kleingardner, Tammy Thomas, Brenda Santiago, and Penny Santiago; one brother, Nelson Thomas; six grandchildren, Robert Staudt III, Ciarra Staudt, Eric Shaver, Alexis Shaver, Robbie Sisco, Savannah Vail; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was predeceased by her brothers, Lester Thomas, Richard Thomas, Chris Thomas, and Randy Thomas; and her sisters, Blanche Beardsley, Mary Ackerman, and Christine Thomas.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 4 PM to 6 PM at the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.   Memorial services will  begin at 6 PM in the funeral home.  The Rev. Douglas Bowman will officiate.
