Thurston Maus

Thurston Roger Maus of Lew Beach, NY, a lifelong area resident, died Wednesday, October 3, 2012. He was 67.

The son of Laverna Whitbeck Maus and the late Donald Maus, he was born December 10, 1944 in Franklin, NY.

Thurston was a former Town of Hardenburgh Highway Superintendent and was a "Jack of All Trades".

Survivors include his mother, Laverna Maus of Roscoe, NY; one brother, Alton Maus of Roscoe, NY; one sister, Marilyn Shoman of Wappingers Falls, NY; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Donald Maus; and one sister, Barbara Jean Maus.

Graveside services and burial will be Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 1 PM at the Riverview Cemetery, Roscoe, NY. The Rev. Dale Ashby will officiate.

Memorial contributions in Thurston's name may be made to a charity of one's choice.
