Tobi Zur

Tobi Marco Zur of Roscoe, NY, a retired firefighter for the New Haven Fire Department, and a long time area resident died Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at her home. She was 68.

The daughter of the late John F. and Marco Vladimir Zur, she was born October 25, 1947 in the White Plains, NY.

Tobi was the first paid female firefighter in New England; she was a member of the International Association of Fire Fighters; and the founder of Tobi's Cheesecake.

Survivors include her son, Michael Willis and his wife Martha Jean of Charlotte, NC; two grandchildren, Nicole C. Willis of Charlotte, NC and Cecilia T. Willis of Charlotte, NC.

She was predeceased by one son, John B. Willis; and one brother, Christopher J. Zur.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 10 AM in the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY. Father Edward Bader will officiate.
