Ursula “Tootie” Eileen Cicio of Hancock, NY, a lifelong area resident, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston, MA. She was 72.
The daughter of the late Joseph A. and Lillian A. Crosby Fucci, she was born September 6, 1948 in Hancock, NY.
Tootie had been an employee at T&A Home Center until 1987 when she moved to Newton, NJ and started her own cleaning business. After living 15 years in NJ, Tootie moved back to East Branch, NY continuing her cleaning business. She returned to Hancock, NY where she and her husband Dennis worked as managers for the past 12 years at Smith’s Colonial Motel. Tootie enjoyed cooking, baking, ceramics and spending time with her family, especially her five grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Dennis Cicio of Hancock, NY; her son, Thomas Ellsworth and his wife Mary-Ann of Hamburg, NJ; her daughter, Ruthanne Stickle and her husband Lucas of Livingston Manor, NY; her grandchildren, Logan, Evan, Rebecca, Olivia and Sophia; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one sister, Ann Waldron and her husband Bill of Deposit, NY.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 12 Noon to 3 PM in the East Branch Community Church, East Branch, NY. Funeral services will begin at 3PM; The Rev. Paul Cicio will officiate.
