Velma May

Velma G. May of Monticello, NY, an artist, died Monday, October 13, 2014 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY. She was 70.

The daughter of the late Hugh and Helen VanValkenburg May, she was born May 15, 1944 in Siloam Springs, AK.

Velma was a communicant of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Monticello, NY.

Survivors include her longtime companion, Mark O'Rourke, at home; two daughters, Melissa Corigliano and her husband Michael and Gina Tanaka and her husband Doug; two sons, Bruce Davidson and his wife Mary and Brad Davidson and his wife Lisa; one sister, Bernita Kimble; ten grandchildren; and one great grandson.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 9-10:30 AM in the Harris Funeral Home West St. at Buckley Liberty, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 11 AM in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Broadway, Monticello, NY.
