Virginia Stevens

Virginia R. Stevens of Delhi, NY and formerly of Roscoe, NY, a retired self-employed hairdresser, died Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at M.I. Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown, NY. She was 81.

The daughter of the late David E. and Ruth C. Zahner Young, she was born April 24, 1931 in Saginaw, MI.

Virginia was a member of the Roscoe Presbyterian Church; a member of the Daughter's of the Nile Athor Temple #17, Buffalo, NY; a member of the Liberty Revonah-Lincoln-Kiamesha Chapter #443 OES, Liberty, NY; and an avid bowler.

She is survived by one brother, Robert Young and his wife Shirley of Grayling, MI; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Herbert and Frederick.

Visitation was Friday October 19, 2012 from 12 Noon to 2 PM in the Harris Funeral Home Railroad Ave. Roscoe, NY. Eastern Star services and funeral services were at 2 PM in the funeral home.

Burial was in the Riverview Cemetery, Roscoe, NY.
