Waldemar "Joe" Mielnicki, Ii

Waldemar "Joe" Mielnicki, II of Woodbourne, NY, a mechanic for Jim Ward Construction, died Friday, June 3, 2022 at the Garnet Health Hospital in Middletown, NY.  He was 43.

The son of Urszula Ciupak Mielnicki and the late Waldemar J. Mielnicki, he was born August 14, 1978 in Passaic, NJ.

Joe’s smile would light up the room. Family was important to him. He had a big heart and was always helping a friend in need. Joe was the guy that could fix anything. He enjoyed outdoor activities including camping, fishing, and riding ATVs. In his spare time he would shoot pool and sing karaoke. He liked to ride his motorcycle and had a passion for cooking.

Survivors include his mother, Urszula Mielnicki of Liberty, NY; three sons, Michael Mielnicki of Ft. Myers, FL, Waldemar Mielnicki, III of Ft. Myers, FL, and Gordon Mielnicki of Lake City, FL; four daughters, Hailie Mielnicki of Ft. Myers, FL, Lyra Mielnicki of Ft. Myers, FL, Delylah Mielnicki of Lake City, FL and Jenifer Mielnicki of Lake City, FL; two brothers, Andrzej Mielnicki of Ravenna, TX and Thomas Mielnicki of Silver Springs, FL; one sister, Eva Evans of Liberty, NY; several nieces and nephews and a dear friend, Jim Ward.  He was predeceased by his father and maternal grandmother.

Visitation will be Friday, June 10, 2022 from 4-7 PM and Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 8:30- 9:30 AM in the Harris Funeral Home West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 11, 2022 at 10 AM in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church Broadway, Monticello, NY.  Father John Sheehan will officiate.
