Wayne Cargill, Ii

Wayne DeForrest Cargill II of Woodbourne, NY, a lifelong area resident, died unexpectedly Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at the age of 54. He was born on August 23, 1964 in Sidney, NY to Wayne DeForrest Cargill I and Ruth Decker Cargill.

Wayne proudly served Our Country in the US Army, where he was stationed in Germany as Military Police. He was a skilled craftsman and laborer with an avid love for hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his devoted wife of 36 years, Gloria Newman Cargill and their three sons, Wayne DeForrest Cargill III, Barry James Cargill and Byron Douglas Cargill, all of Woodbourne, NY; his brother, Bill Cargill and his wife, Kathy, of North Carolina; his sister, Alicia Paul and her husband, Bryan, of Bermuda; his father and mother-in-law, Barry and Carol Newman; his sisters-in-laws, Grace Rivera, Patty (John) Kearns, and Terri (Jake) Dertinger; his brother-in-law, Richard (Carrie) Vail; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.  Wayne was predeceased by both his maternal and paternal grandparents and one brother-in-law.

Graveside services with military honors will be Friday, May 17, 2019 at 11 AM in the Sullivan County Veteran’s Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
