Wayne Carman

Wayne John Carman of North Branch, NY, a lifelong area resident, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at his home, his loving family at his side.  He was 69.

The son of the late John and Jean Neumann Carman, he was born January 26, 1952 in Callicoon, NY.

Wayne grew up in Liberty, where he developed a life long love of cars.  As a young man, he could be found drag racing his Chevys on Radcliff Road in Liberty and Island Dragway in New Jersey.  He enjoyed working on cars, especially Corvettes.  He was a truck driver for over thirty years and retired from Ultra Power Corp.  Wayne was a good, kind man and will be deeply missed.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving partner, Laura Quigley, at home; his children, Jeffrey Carman (Dr. Jamie Noeth) of Mongaup Valley, NY, Karilee Klopman (Steve) of Esperance, NY and Jackie Carman (Ron Swenson) of Albany, NY; his beautiful grandchildren, Jack Carman, Blair Klopman, Stevie Klopman, and Callie Swenson; his brother, Mark Carman (Kathleen); his sister, Sherri Kavleski (Paul); his close friend and former wife, Bonnie Carman; and extended family, Chris Quigley (Megan), Colleen Rhyne (Darryl), Nora Droste (Chris), Katryna Rokicki, Alex Rokicki and many cousins, nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents; one sister, Penny Blume; one brother, Scott Carman; and his niece, Jodi Sprague.

Wayne’s family would like to extend a special “thank you” to the wonderful team of angels from Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties; you are cherished.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 9, 2021 from 4 to 7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 10:30 AM in the United Methodist Church, Route 52, White Sulphur Springs, NY.  The Rev. Bridgette LeConey will officiate.

Burial will be in the Callicoon Center Cemetery, Callicoon Center, NY.
