William Danzer

William W. Danzer of Liberty, NY, a retired mailman for the US Post Office, Liberty, NY, and a long time area resident, died Tuesday November 13, 2012 at the Albany Medical Center, Albany, NY. He was 67.

The son of the late Charles and Mildred Hahn Danzer, he was born July 9, 1945 in Bayonne, NJ.

Bill proudly served Our Country in the US Navy; he had worked on the installation crew for the Hallmark Corporation; he was a communicant of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Liberty, NY; he was an avid bowler and he enjoyed gardening and NASCAR; and he was the official photographer for family events.

Survivors include his daughter, Mary Counsell and her husband Dave of Niskayuna, NY; one brother, Jim Danzer and his wife Sheryl of Loch Sheldrake, NY; and two grandchildren, Lucas and Alison Counsell; many nieces and nephews; and his dog, Baxter.

He was predeceased by his wife, Bernice Danzer, in 2009 and one brother, Robert Danzer.

Visitation will be Friday (today) November 16, 2012 from 4-7 PM in the Harris Funeral Home West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 11:45 AM in St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 264 North Main Street Liberty, NY. Monsignor Edward Straub will officiate.

Burial with military honors will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Cold Spring Road, Liberty, NY.
