William Fraser

William B. Fraser, 57, of Ferndale, NY, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 14, 2012. He was born the son of Betty J. Fraser and William A. Fraser. He graduated from Liberty Central High School and obtained his BA from SUNY Oswego. He first taught History at Liberty Central High School, and then attended SUNY Binghamton where he obtained his MBA. His desire was to see the world and his travels began when he was employed by IBM Corp.

Bill was a beloved brother and friend who had a love for family and for life, and was always there when you needed him. He enjoyed his job, as well as the wonderful people he met as a result of his career with IBM. He traveled to several countries, some of which include France, England, Spain, Italy, Greece, Sweden, and Japan. He enjoyed French cuisine and sharing American traditions with his friends and colleagues in Paris, as well as spending time with his friends in California, especially during the Christmas holidays.

Bill is survived by his sisters, Joyce Fraser Pratt of Johnstown, Karen (JR) Saetran of Center Moriches, Long Island; his brothers, Robert (Nancy) Fraser of Ferndale, and Daniel (Vanessa) Fraser of So. Fallsburg. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews: Lindsey Pratt (Dave Valik), children Talia and Emma; Rob Pratt; Haley and Erik Saetran; Ashley Fraser; and Larissa and Nicholas Fraser. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins that he especially enjoyed seeing during the Thanksgiving holiday from the local area, as well as Rochester, New York, Pennsylvania, and last but not least, the 'Jersey Frasers'.

Bill was a brother in the truest sense of the word, a confidante and friend and will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 3, 2012 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the Harris Funeral Home, West Street at Buckley, Liberty, New York. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Fraser Cemetery.
